Our tradition of hosting online meetups with our Sacred Space Astronomy members and the Vatican Observatory staff, scholars and friends during the Full Moon in Tucson (or thereabout) continues on May 12, 2025 at 12:00 Noon ET (9:00 AM Tucson time – with daylight savings time).
This meetup is a perk for our Sacred Space Astronomy subscribers- you get to chat with each other, and astronomers and scientists from the Vatican Observatory!
We’ll also have the latest astronomy news and an update about the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope1.
Bob Trembley has been an amateur astronomer and space enthusiast since his childhood in the mid 1960’s. He and his wife Connie met Br. Guy at a science fiction convention in the mid-1980’s.
Bob joined Michigan’s Warren Astronomical Society in 2011 – since then he has held one board position or another almost every year since. 2025 is Bob’s third and final year as President of the W.A.S. due to term-limits.
Bob has been a volunteer NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador since 2013 – he’s lectured about astronomy and space science at schools, libraries, science fiction conventions and other public venues; more recently, he has been doing his space lectures via Zoom.
Bob helps the Great Lakes Association of Astronomy Clubs with planning for the very popular Astronomy at the Beach event in September. Br. Guy will be the keynote speaker at the event this year, and the Michigan astronomers Bob knows are absolutely thrilled!
Before Bob started working for the VOF in 2014, he had been doing Windows PC & server support for small clients across the metro Detroit area. Bob often credits Br. Guy with saving him from this miserable life as a lowly PC tech.
Bob’s wife Connie Martin-Trembley is a retired a middle-school science teacher, and she was a guest for one of our podcasts; she is also a volunteer NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador!
Bob and Connie have a 5 year old granddaughter, who often spots the Moon in the sky before they do!

When? Monday, May 12th: Rain or shine
What time? These meetups will happen around lunch time in North America: in particular, 9:00 am Tucson time, which is 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
