The reason I’m posting on Sunday instead of Monday is to invite our members to join us for a virtual meet-up tomorrow called “Full Moons.” Those who are members have already received an invitation. I was invited to speak about the development of the program previously know as the Faith and Astronomy Workshop (FAW), now known as Astronomy for Catholics in Ministry and Education (ACME).
As I’ve been prayerfully putting my thoughts together, here’s some of the themes we will discuss:
How did this program come about?
Why is the name of the program being changed?
What are some of the main areas of growth I’ve experienced through this program?
What excites me about how this program has developed and where it may go in the future?
If you have some time tomorrow to join us, I’d love to have the chance to say “hi” to all of you and talk about this exploration. In particular, I would love to meet those members who might be interested to join us for our next ACME week. Our numbers are limited, so there is an application process to go through. We’ll talk about all that good stuff tomorrow!
Below are some Youtube videos that explore themes that have been discussed in the past at FAW. I encourage you to watch them as a prep for tomorrow.
I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!
