A volume sponsored by the Vatican Observatory, featuring papers presented at the 4th European Conference on Science and Theology held Mar. 23-29, 1992, in Mondo Migliore near Rome; organized by the European Society for the Study of Science and Theology. From the back cover of Volume 1:
The aim of the conference was to study the origins of various aspects of the universe in an interdisciplinary way, taking into account not only science but also theology and philosophy. Special attention was given to the way in which recent developments in physical complexity theory influence our view of these origins and the underlying understanding of time.
