Join us June 3rd for our the next Full Moon-th Meetup where we’ll chat with Rev. Chris Corbally, SJ – Secretary for the Vatican Observatory Foundation, and President of the National Committee for Astronomy, Vatican City State, IAU. Chris will be talking about the history of Vatican Observatory Summer Schools!
Our tradition of hosting online meetups with our Sacred Space Astronomy members and the Vatican Observatory staff, scholars and friends during the Full Moon in Tucson (or thereabout) continues on Saturday June 3rd at 12:00 Noon ET (9:00 AM Tucson time).
We’ll also have the latest astronomy news and an update about the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope*.

This meetup is a perk for our Sacred Space Astronomy subscribers- we’ll be holding our regularly scheduled online meetup where you get to chat with each other, and astronomers and scientists from the Vatican Observatory!
Chris’ areas of research as an astronomer with the Vatican Observatory Research Group are: stellar spectroscopy and human sentience. His BIO on the Vatican Observatory website is eye-popping, with a significant number of books and publications.
Chris was a delightful guest for a Full Moon Meetup way back in 2020 – before we started making them into podcasts – he told us stories of his 5 decades of being an astronomer, and the time he was on the roof of the observatory in Castel Gandolfo while Pope Paul VI was inside talking to the Apollo 11 astronauts.
