In recent days we have had a lot of interest in the moon concerning the landing of two spacecraft under the NASA commercial lunar delivery program. One was the Athena lander, built by Intuitive Machines in Texas that touched down at the south pole of the moon. Then the 4.7m tall craft is presumed to have fallen over as its predecessor did, and was turned off until a plan is developed as to how to proceed.
Unlike this experience, Firefly Aerospace had a very successful landing of their more squat (2m tall) Blue Ghost lander in Mare Crisium. Seen here the large mare is a 556km diameter, roughly the size of Texas, and looks to be relatively flat and smooth, but the lander showed a rolling cratered surface. This required some last minute maneuvering to avoid landing in a spot that was too rough for the stability of the lander.
Blue Ghost is too small to be seen from Earth even with the largest telescopes, but it was imaged by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) the day after it landed. I encourage you to look it up on the web!
