Angelo Secchi was the Father of Astrophysics and a Jesuit priest. He prayed his way through scientific discovery and political turmoil in nineteenth century Italy. This book by Christina L. K. Graney has a foreword by Dr. Ileana Chinnici, of the INAF Palermo Astronomical Observatory and the Vatican Observatory, and author of Decoding the Stars: A Biography of Angelo Secchi, Jesuit and Scientist (Brill, 2019).
