The 2022–2023 Vatican Observatory Foundation Annual Report is now available online. It opens with a letter from the Foundation’s Chairman of the Board Paul “Mickey” Pohl, outlining numerous accomplishments during 2023, followed by a President’s Report by Br. Guy Consolmagno.
This Annual Report covers two fiscal years as the Foundation shifted from a fiscal year from a calendar year to an academic year. Br. Guy outlines the numerous reasons for this in his report.
Our January 2022–June 2023 benefactors are also listed within the report – thank you to all who have supported the Vatican Observatory!
The report ends with what has to be one of my favorite photos to come out of the Vatican Observatory in 2023: students from the 2023 Vatican Observatory Summer School recreated the scene from Raphael’s painting “The School of Athens.” (I love the guy with the laptop!)
