Dr. Mather is a NASA astrophysicist at the Goddard Space Flight Center as well as the Senior Project Scientist Emeritus for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). He is also the 2006 Nobel Prize winner in Physics (along with George Smoot) for his research on the cosmic microwave background radiation using COBE.
The event is free, and open to the public. It is part of the Astronomy Experts Speaker Series Dr. Mather founded three years ago in collaboration with the Astronomical League of the Philippines.
