Ambassador Program

The Vatican Observatory Foundation (VOF) Ambassadors are individuals who assist the VOF in realizing its mission to the public.

The purpose of the Ambassador Program is to provide trained, knowledgeable and skilled volunteers for communication and public engagement.

Volunteer Ambassadors give presentations to organizations, schools and parish groups. Ambassadors speak to their audiences about the history and current research activities of the scientists at the Vatican Observatory.

Ambassadors are chosen and trained by our Ambassador committee. They are all approved by their local diocese and undergo safe environment training before engaging in public events as representatives of the Foundation.
