Boscovich, Roger Joseph (1711-1787)

Roger Joseph Boscovich (Ruđer Josip Bošković) was a scientist, and a priest of the Society of Jesus. He had a wide range of interests and accomplishments.  These included developing better lenses for telescopes, designing a system to reinforce the dome of St. Peter’s for Pope Benedict XIV, and even creating what today might be called a “Theory of Everything” that would explain all physical interactions in the universe.
