Fr. George V. Coyne, S. J. explores the significance of the fact that we live in a universe that contains us—creatures capable of holding a conception of the universe in our own minds. “In us, the universe has become self aware.” Fr. Coyne served as Director of the Vatican Observatory from 1978 to 2006. Audio includes discussion by Dr. Lynn Rothschild of NASA Ames.
