Fr. George V. Coyne, S. J., Director of the Vatican Observatory from 1978 to 2006, writes that the conclusion to be drawn for both what we know of the universe and what we can surmise about God is that the supreme moral principle which should guide all of our ethical decisions is to empty oneself for the good of others.
