This colorful book by Christy Monson, illustrated by Wiliam Luong, and published by Bushel & Peck Books (2023) features 28 scientists who all share a faith in God. The scientists are from a variety of monotheistic faith traditions. The while the book does include scientists from history, like Isaac Newton and Gregor Mendel, it focuses on more recent scientists. The publisher’s web page says that the book is “ideal for kids 7-11 years old”, but older children and even adults will find it of interest.
“Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.” —Psalm 111:2
Can faith in God and belief in science coexist? Could our love of God inspire our love of His works, and could science even help us wonder and love God more? Absolutely!
In Scientists of Faith, readers will meet thirty-one brilliant men and women from different countries, time periods, and scientific disciplines who all share one thing in common: an unshakeable faith in God….
Scientists of Faith reveals that faith in God isn’t just compatible with science—it can be a scientist’s most powerful force in the journey of discovery.
